With our sponsors at MPB, we are hosting #CatchLightChange, a collaborative online exhibition of visual responses to the theme of CatchLight’s 2023 Visual Storytelling Summit, “The Change We Want to See.”
This exhibition will take place on Instagram, expanding on the theme by inviting the public to share images that reveal both the challenges we face in society, as well as stories of strength and ingenuity in the face of these challenges.
Entries submitted by May 15, 2023, will be considered for a $500 gift certificate for camera gear from MPB.com. The winning entry will be selected by a jury of CatchLight Fellows spanning the field of visual storytelling and journalism, who will assess each submission for visual excellence and alignment with CatchLight values.
How to participate:
- Post an original image or series of images inspired by our Summit theme to your Instagram feed with the hashtag #CatchLightChange in the caption.
- Be sure to tag and follow us at @catchlight.io and @mpbcom to let us know you entered. All entries must be original works submitted by the copyright owners.
- Write a detailed caption. Behind every CatchLight image is a visual storyteller’s drive for social impact. Tell us the story behind your image and its connection to the theme.
- In order for the jury to review your entry, it must be posted on an Instagram account that is set to public until the end of the review period on May 21, 2023.
