An oil field resembling a dystopian sci-fi scene. An Indigenous land protector hoisting an improvised flag on an urban hillside. A mother and daughter holding an image of a father lost to COVID-19. Welcome to CatchLight’s 2022 Year in Pictures.
CatchLight’s fellows and contributors are visual storytellers who document the richness of daily life. They’re journalists who shed light on critical issues and introduce us to those who are advancing solutions. They’re innovators who are piloting new models to change the ways we access, engage with, and leverage images for social progress. We thank them for their partnership and creativity as we work together to shape the future of our field.
